GODFRED VIKING SWORD PS SB133 BY CHINA
The 8th Century A.D. saw the Vikings, one of Europe's most feared and fiercest Warriors. The Vikings conquered England, Normandy, and all the way into Russia. A people from Norway, Sweden and Denmark the Vikings raided and plundered leaving most of Europe at their mercy. The Primary weapon of the Viking was the sword. Swords of the is period were much shorter than they would become in the middle ages, but they were also much more brutal. The shorter sword was designed to be used one handed and for slashing, not stabbing.

This replica of a 9th century Viking sword features a 28.5 inch 440 stainless steel bladed with a fuller down the center. The blade comes factory sharpened. The bronzed arch guard of the Viking sword is simple yet effective design dressed with a smaller bronzed fitting at the blade. The handle of the sword is cloth wrapped with two sets of studs securing the imitation leather. The pommel of the sword is the trade mark of the Viking sword. The pommel is solid with three lobes. The weight and size of the pommel gives the sword its balance, and the three lobed design gives it its historical authenticity.

The scabbard of the sword is wooden, covered with tan cloth. Along the scabbard are four steel fittings, including the end cap and carrying rings. Steel studs are used to secure the fittings, giving the sword an aged look. A unique cloth carrying band is found on the scabbard, allowing the scabbard to be fastened directly to the belt, worn over the shoulder, or attached to the other set of carrying rings. The sword is detailed down to the weighted pommel and sharpened edge. The sword is perfect for collectors and stage fights.
