Swords of Medieval Europe (Approximately 500 to 1500 AD), evolved from Celtic swords, which in turn arose from a tradition of straight, double edged swords which began as early 1500 BC. At the beginning of the 18th century, swords evolved into blades approximately two feet in length and were designed for mobility. The blades were affixed to a wood, metal, or occasionally a bone handle. As Europeans conquered the frontiers of New Spain (what is now Northern Mexico and the Southwestern United States), soldiers, cattlemen, and fur trappers often used these swords as a weapon or as a basic survival tool.

The illustrated Silver Stag Sword is the Silver Stag Celtic Warrior that features a 28 1/2" spear point blade made of JT 420 stain resistant steel. The blade of this Silver Stag Sword has a double bevel grind, and neither edge is sharpened. The Celtic Warrior has 3/4 tang construction with genuine crown Elk antler handle and a brass cross guard. A thick custom laced cowhide sheath is included with this Silver Stag Sword. The Silver Stag Celtic Warrior has an approximate overall length of 40". Made in the USA.
