FOUR TIER MEDIEVAL DRAGON CANDELABRUMNobleWares Image of Four Tier Dragon Candelabrum 7038 by YTC Summit 7038 YTC SUMMIT
This impressive statue depicts three guardian Dragons, sitting with wings tightly positioned upwards, allowing their symmetry to form the highest tier and central candle post. They sit upon a dual level base bearing celtic knotwork around its perimeter. Each of the three dragons bears a knotwork crown which rests upon their heads making accommodations for three additional candles (not included). This magnificent piece is hand painted from a pallet that includes dazzling hues of gold, bronze, greens, sienna and venetian reds, creating detail that could be best described as magical. The 4-teir Dragon Candelabrum statue is made in quality cold cast resin, and stands almost 12 inches tall. The base is felt lined and the four candle posts are equipped with metal liners. A beautiful work of art that will set a magical tone and ambiance to every occasion.

THE MEDIEVAL DRAGON
European dragons are legendary creatures in folklore and mythology among the overlapping cultures of Europe. In European folklore, a dragon is a serpentine legendary creature with two pairs of lizard-type legs and bat-type wings growing from its back. Though a winged creature, the dragon is generally to be found in its underground lair, a cave that identifies it as an ancient creature of earth. Possibly, the dragons of European and Mid Eastern mythology stem from the cult of snakes found in religions throughout the world. Many European stories of dragons have them guarding a treasure hoard. Both Fafnir and Beowulf's dragon guarded earthen mounds full of ancient treasure. The treasure was cursed and brought ill to those who later possessed it.
