BATTLE READY GREAT HELM 14G - AB0395/AB0396by GDFB The Great Helm developed through the course of the 13th. century and this reconstruction replicates the Pembroke helmet, made late in the period and dating from around 1300 AD, now in the Burrell Collection Glasgow. This style of helm was often worn in conjunction with a smaller, lighter helmet, the Secret (see our Secret Helm AB0371/72). Crafted in 14 gauge steel and fully padded, this Great Helm provides excellent head protection for the weapons-contact re-enactor. Although designed for action in LARP or Medieval battles, this beautiful helm is just as powerful on display while seeking the favor of fair maidens within the comforts of your castle.
• Fully Padded

Please Note: Minor cosmetic imperfections are a natural characteristic of genuine hand made armour.

THE CLIP Armor Jeffrey D. Wasson demonstrates how people dressed in armor. While the process requires an assistant, the armor's careful design allows for a wide variety of movement, even when fully dressed. Narrated by Dirk Breiding, Assistant Curator, Arms and Armor Department, The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
