GREAT WAVE WAKIZASHI (SH5002) CAS HANWEI
The Great Wave Wakizashi displays the renowned Tomoe motif used frequently for family crests and shrine decoration. The Koshirae are crafted in blackened iron and feature the Tomoe Crest (Mon). The blade is hand-forged from T10 high-carbon steel featuring a long (o)Kissaki and is differentially hardened to produce a distinctive Hamon. The blade measures 18 3/4" and the Great Wave Wakizashi finds its point of balance 4 inches from the guard. The Saya is deeply lacquered in black with a one-piece brass Habaki construction. The rayskin of the Tsuka has a premium woven Japanese black cotton wrap with a matching Sageo. Includes a protective cloth bag and traditional maintenance kit.
