Pirate Treasure Chest is sculpted and cast in heavy poly resin displaying one of the most feared symbols used by pirates -the dreaded skull and crossbones. Actual skulls and bones were long used to mark the entrances to Spanish cemeteries. The practice, dating back many centuries, led to the symbol eventually becoming associated with the concept of death. Pirates adopted and often used such symbols to intimidate their opposition.
