NORMAN LION & DRAGON LEATHER BELT AH6787 by DEEPEEKA
This Norman belt of leather features two brass fixtures that have been enameled to replicate the Cloisonné technique popular in Dark Age / Early Medieval Britain. A design would be created in metal and the open spaces filled with a hardened enamel. This belt, by Deepeeka, has a lion and dragon cast in bronze with the empty space filled with red enamel. A buckle clasp is used for closure, though holes are left to be custom made by the wearer to fit. This style of buckle and length of the belt make its sizing very flexible; it is designed to be long, with the tip hanging down from the buckle in front. Slide on a sword or dagger frog, a leather utility pouch or an axe ring and you will begin to enjoy the benefits of a sturdy and finely crafted belt.

Deepeeka's belt design was inspired by the 14th century Anglo-Norman manuscript titled De Heraudrie. Deepeeka is world renown for their skills and dedication to researching and building fine historic weapons, armour reproductions and accessories. |
