GJERMUNDBU - Viking Helm Artifacts
A highborn Viking Chieftain of the 10th century. He was cremated and laid to rest in a funerary mound at the district of Ringerike, Norway. This unique Viking find was later dated to approximately 970 AD. The find was made on the land of a farm called Gjermundbu in Haug, which is a area in the district of Ringerike in central eastern Norway.This unique find, which was full of Viking artifacts, was discovered by a coincident during the Spring of 1943. We wonder who the chieftain really was? He must indeed have been someone very important, because the gear they found along his bones and ashes were amongst the most unique gear ever found from that era in all of Scandinavia. Particularly the Viking helmet, which is famed for being the best kept and finest Viking helmet ever found in the entire world.
