THE WEAPONS OF FLOKI SH8003 Shadow Cutlery
Floki, played by actor Gustaf Skarsgård in the TV Series "Vikings" is a genius ship builder and he designs and builds the prototype of the new generation of Viking ships which can sail across the open ocean but also up the shallowest of rivers. Without Floki, Ragnar Lothbrok would have never been able to fulfill his dreams of discovering new lands and new civilizations. Floki's choice of weapons are an extension of his craft: the axe and adze. These are the tools he uses while constructing his boats and both are with him during battle, as well.

Guided by Oden and believing that his path was destined for greatness, Ragnar and his warriors raid and plunder across England and beyond. The Axe and Adze of Floki has been created from the actual television prop used in the popular television series; an original Canadian-Irish series broadcast by the Canadian television channel, History, created and written by Michael Hirst.

This licensed Axe and Adz of Floki crafted by Shadow Cutlery have heads of 2Cr13 cast stainless steel fitted onto a hafts of solid ash wood. The components of both axe and adz have been given a distressed and antiqued finish to give it an aged and battle-worn appearance of a warrior's tools/weapons that have built ships and endured dozens of combats. The axe comes with a beautifully crafted wooden display plaque that bears the Viking Series Logo and knotwork designs in blood red with brass hangers upon a wood grain field. The display plaque allows the axe to be mounted and displayed horizontally - mounting hardware and instructions are included. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

The one handed axe used by the Vikings was a swift and durable weapon that consistently struck with lethal force. It is not surprising that a tool that could bite into the tough bark-skin of trees could be modified for war to make a mockery of frail flesh. Most Vikings could not afford to use an expensive sword, so for many the axe and the spear were their trusted battle-companion. The hard-hitting axe was a sure pick for the Viking boat builder and it is fitting that Loki made good use of the Viking Axe on his transition from ambitious ship builder to Viking Warrior.
