VON TEMPSKY FUNCTIONAL BOWIE KNIFE VTB by SVORD
This replica Forest Ranger Bowie Knife is based on the knife design than von Tempsky issued to his company of Forest Rangers in 1863. Made by renowned maker Svord of New Zealand, this hefty knife measures 16.5" in length overall and replicates the tradition design carried by many during the Civil War period. Individually hardened and tempered using a unique and time honored secret heat treatment process, the 11" high carbon tool steel blade comes razor sharp, is beautifully colored, and is stamped with the "B.M. Baker Svord N.Z." seal of authenticity. Each blade is hand ground on a water cooled stone and given a Baker "Convex" edge which is a "razor" factory edge, providing superb "out of box" performance. Full tang construction accommodates three brass rivets securing a traditionally shaped brown wood handle. Comes with a beautiful rugged black stitched leather belt sheath, with flap secure and embossed Svord logo stamp of authenticity.

Produced in traditional methods similar to the originals, these replica pieces have the authentic appearance and structure of the time-worn antiques. They are often difficult to distinguish from the expensive genuine articles. This Bowie Knife is a functional piece that can be utilized in real world settings or for real-use activities often found in re-enactment, theater and film, and costume events. This historic replica is ready for hard use in the field, and beautiful enough to proudly display in any home or office.
