LEATHER SWORD BELT RIG & OFFICER'S BUCKLE
The saber, or sword belt can seem a pretty complex rig. For starters, it's a sturdy belt which must support your pistols, cartridge box, cap box, and saber if you wear one. The shoulder strap provides extra support to the left side, where the saber is worn. Two longer leather straps of different lengths hold the saber down low to the side and at a proper angle when mounted, and a small brass hook holds the saber up snugly to the side when dismounted.

Our Federal-Issue or Confederate style sword belt, appropriate for all Cavalry/Artillery Enlisted and Officer impressions requiring a saber or sword, with over the shoulder "Sam Brown" strap and all leather hangers. This fully adjustable Civil War Sword Belt is constructed of choice black leather with high quality solid brass fittings. Please note that the belt buckle shown is not included and sold separately. The correct buckles are items # 16-10 and 16-03

Buckles are 3-1/4" x 1-3/4" made of brass and are for use with item 16-A31 sword belt. Your choice of Union or Confederate officer's style buckle. (sword shown above not included with belt) US Buckle depicts patriotic eagle, and was used by by officers carrying swords, and enlisted cavalry, following the regulation of 1851, most were manufactured 1850's to end of the Civil War.
