MINATURE CIVIL WAR LIMBER 07-492
A limber (or caisson) is a two-wheeled cart used to carry powder and shot for artillery pieces and were always separated from their assigned cannon during action so that they wouldn't be hit by incoming fire and destroyed. Hitched to a horse team, the cannon was attached and pulled behind the limber. This highly detailed 1/12th scale military caisson replicates limbers used throughout the Civil War and is easily attachable to the cannon hitch for display. Handcrafted of cast metal and wood the limber features rotating 6" metal rimmed wheels and an opening magazine lid. |
