"THE TEMPLAR" ONE HAND BATTLE SWORD 501525 Windlass
Stage combat swords have to meet different requirements than battle-ready swords do. In order to minimize the risk of injury from cuts and thrusts during stage combat with swords, the Windlass Steel Crafts "Templar" model 501525 Templar Stage Combat Battle Sword is of rugged fully tempered 1065 High Carbon Steel with back edges that are at least 3.5 mm thick everywhere and it even has a rounded point.
The thick blade of these one handed stage combat swords make them slightly more top-heavy when comparable to a similar thinner battle-ready sword. The large pommel and fullered blade do their job to reestablish the quickness and balance found in battle ready blades. The contoured grip is wrapped in genuine leather for increased control and comfort. This Windlass Steel Crafts one handed stage combat sword has a riveted wheel pommel typical of swords that were made between the 10th and 15th centuries. The pommel is beautifully adorn with a classic Templar Crusader Cross that has been darkened upon the steel. This one handed stage combat sword includes a scabbard made of genuine leather with a polished steel mount and chape.
Note: This Fine Quality Windlass Steel Crafts Sword has blunt edges, solid construction materials, and handling qualities well suited for rugged Stage Combat yet is beautiful enough for home display!
