EARLY MEDIEVAL SWORD (Blunt) SH2405 Tinker Pearce / CAS Hanwei Designed by noted sword smith Michael ''Tinker'' Pearce and manufactured by Hanwei, these medieval swords have been are made to satisfy the need of every Western Martial Arts practitioner and sword enthusiast, to have a matching set of sharp and blunt swords for cutting and safe training practice. The swords meet Tinker's exacting quality requirements and are built in much the same way as his custom pieces. Each blade is forged from 5160 Spring Steel, Marquenched to the desired hardness of 50-53 Hrc while the tang is drawn back to the low 30s Hrc. The very end of the tang is threaded to fit an allen nut recessed into the pommel which allows for dismantling of the hilt assembly for inspection or to exchange blades if desired.
The Tinker Pearce Blunted Single Hand Sword features a thick blunt blade, rounded blunt tip and wide central central fuller. The guard and pommel are made of steel while the grip is wood wrapped in black leather. Includes a composite fiberglass scabbard with black leather wrap and steel accents.

Early Medieval Single Hand Sword Paul Chen's Tinker Early Medieval Swords are single-hand Oakeshott Type XII pieces, with sharp (SH2404) and blunt versions (SH2405) with identical handling characteristics. The sharp sword is fullered for about two thirds of its length, with a flattened diamond section out towards the tip. Interchangeable Blunt and Sharp Replacement Blades available here.
