TOURNEY ARMING SWORD SM36030 Kingston Arms
Our Tourney Series Medieval Sparring Swords from Kingston Arms will set a new standard in this price point of re-enactment weaponry. The Kingston Arms Tourney Arming Sword is fitted with a blunt blade of 9260 high carbon steel providing a rugged long lasting sword. With its 50 HRC temper and edges that are 2mm thick throughout, this sword is purpose-built for sport and stage combat.
The rounded, lenticular blade has a wide and deep fuller to lighten the blade whilst retaining strength. The guard and pommel are of stainless steel and the grip is crafted of wood and wrapped in tight leather. The large grip easily fits a large or armoured hand. The cord wrapped leather grip feels exceptional in the hand with an oval cross section and slight barrel shape to keep fatigue at bay. The guard has hidden tabs fitted beneath the grip to keep it from loosening over time and the thick blade tang was hot-peened over the pommel to ensure the sword is durably constructed.
The companion scabbard is created with a core of wood and is wrapped in tight leather and finalized with a pinned steel chape.
