BRASS - KING RICHARD LIONHERT SWORD 4125L DENIX
Richard Plantagenet is revered as one of the great warrior kings of England. Richard I was well known for his bravery which earned him the nickname "The Lionheart". This brass version of the Lionheart Sword by Denix is a match for their Lionheart dagger (Model 4157/L), making the perfect companion set for costume, theater or display.

The King Richard the Lionheart Dagger by Denix of Spain boasts a slender 20 inch cast metal blade with triple fuller blood groove that travels about a third of the blades length. The hilt is sculpted and then cast in sturdy zinc alloy metal and given a beautiful antique brass finish. The hilt features a brilliantly sculpted guard with forward sweeping quillions that morph into large snarling lion heads guarding the Lionheart's three lion passant coat of arms residing in its center. The acorn profile pommel bears a Crusader's Cross in honor of Richards command of English contingent armies during the "King's Crusade" to reconquer the Holy Land.

The King Richard the Lionheart Sword comes complete with a luxurious brown dual-tone leather wrap scabbard that bears three large brass medallions of lions passant, and is fitted with elaborate sculpted throat and chape of matching antiqued brass finish. The scabbard throat bears the initial "R" for Richard in elegant old english typeface, and the chape bears an "L" for Lionheart. The blades of Denix daggers and swords are cast from a metal alloy and cannot be sharpened, making them safe for display in family environments.
