KNIGHTS TEMPLAR SWORD 4163/N (Silver Brass Finish) DENIX
The Order of the Templar Knights (technically The Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon) were a powerful crusading order of knights founded in the 11th Century with many of their number recruited from England and France.

The Sword (4163/N) honoring these Noble Knights is created by the Artisans of Denix of Spain. The Templar Sword has a cast metal tapered dual-edge blade that features a long fuller (blood groove) that runs the entire length of the blade. The classic cruciform style hilt features forward swept quillions, each brilliantly decorated with kneeling Knights, and Winged Lions passant guarding a Shielded Templar Crusader Cross at its center. A large wheel pommel is emblazoned with Latin/Greek text “Sigillum Militum Xpisti” translating as "The Seal of a Soldier of Christ". This Templar oath surrounds the familiar depiction of two Templar Knights on the same horse — symbolizing both poverty and fierceness.

A entire hilt is sculpted and then cast in metal alloy and given a lustrous polished silver finish. An brass/silver patina applique has been applied giving a time worn aged look and appeal. This Denix Templar Sword comes complete with a simulated red leather wrapped scabbard with suede crossed accent strips. The scabbard is fitted with highly decorated antiqued brass throat and chape. The blades of Denix swords are cast from a metal alloy and cannot be sharpened, making them safe for display in family environments, medieval festivals and activities.
