The Crecy War Dagger By Windlass Steelcrafts is a no nonsense double edge dagger well-suited to facing armored or unarmored adversaries. This agile weapon from the Windlass Battlecry Collection is slender, light and quick, making it highly effective alone or paired with another weapon.
The Battlecry Crecy War Dagger has a blade of sharpened and tempered 1065 high carbon steel - the tempering gives the blade a flexing hardness of 50-52 HRC. The crossguard and pommel are crafted from mild steel and the grip is overlaid in a tightly woven supple black leather wrap. The thick blade tang is given a large peen on the pommel to ensure that the dagger is robustly constructed. The 9 1/4 inch blade and hilt fittings are given a battle-worn and antiqued blued finish. This unique finish not only looks awesome but also resists the onset of rust.
The scabbard is constructed from leather and is fitted with a steel chape and locket - these steel components are given a blued patina finish to match the dagger. The Battlecry Crecy War Dagger comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by each smith that touched your blade through every step of the forging process. |

Hand forged by Windlass Steelcrafts, the 1065 high carbon steel is tempered in computer controlled ovens to an RC in the low 50's. This ensures strength, resiliency and edge retention. Swords have extra wide full tangs and all weapons are sharpened. These battle tested weapons have a rust resistant, rugged stone washed blackened finish. |
