15TH CENTURY FRENCH CHEVALIER DAGGER SB3960 GDFB
The Chevalier Dagger is a late 15th Century Knightly Dagger; a sidearm one would see on a combatant of noble distinction and its corresponding wealth. The blade is crafted from 1075 high carbon steel and is fully tempered to ~55 Hrc. The the rigid blade is ideal for delivering deeply piercing attacks into the weak points of an armored defense.
The forward curled crossguard and square pommel are of mild steel; Many of these cross-hilt daggers resemble miniature swords, with cross guards and pommels very similar in form to swords of the period. These no-nonsense daggers are sturdy, well built, yet not "too pretty" to abuse. You'll find great pride in every nick, scratch and scar of wear, knowing that each one was a lesson and a memory that's made you the master of your craft. A handmade stitched sheath of leather with a belt loop completes this dagger-and-sheath set.
Note: This Fine Quality Dagger has a blunt edge and is designed for both Stage Combat and Functional Use. The factory dulled carbon steel blade can be sharpened and made battle ready when desired.
