BLACK PRINCE DAGGER SG515 ART GLADIUS
The Black Prince, son of Edward III of England, is remembered in history for his great victory over the French at the Battle of Agincourt during the Hundred Years' War. Undoubtedly one of England's finest royal warriors, he earned his name from his blackened armor and accouterments. Art Gladius historical swords and daggers are detailed representations of the weapons of famous historical figures or legendary heroes.

This Black Prince Dagger (SG515) is an elegant and smaller representation of the Art Gladius Black Prince Sword (SG249). Just like the Sword, this companion dagger prominently displays the Black Prince coat of arms emblazoned on its hilt, and his motto encircling both sides of its round wheel type pommel. The guard and pommel are metal cast and are then plated in a gold finish. The engraved features of the hilt are given a dark patina applique for an authentic time-worn look. The Grip is a black leather wrap bound with antiqued silver spacers.

The fullered 10 inch blade is constructed in 440C stainless steel that is tempered to 45-50 HRC, and given a lustrous mirror polish. The Black Prince dual-edge blade is un-edged for safety and well suited for costume and beautiful display.

Note: These Fine Quality Decorative Daggers are designed for costume and display and not intended for cutting or striking against other objects.
