TWO HANDED GREAT SWORD 88WGS COLD STEEL
Our mighty Two Handed Great Sword is the biggest sword Cold Steel makes! Weighing 6 lbs. 13.5 oz. with a 39 7/8 " double edged carbon steel blade, it is a true battle ready beast that is capable of phenomenal cutting feats!
To protect the hands from opposing weapons, it features an extra-large guard with side rings and integral parrying hooks as well as a sturdy leather "secondary handle" that allow the wielder to "choke up" on the blade, shortening it for close range slashing and stabbing attacks. In skilled hands it combines many of the finest features of a double edged sword, a pole arm, a bayonet or a great cleaving blade. Making firewood of an opponent's lance or spear one moment and then artfully defending the wielder against sword and shield the next!
The wood and leather handle and is extra-long to afford a full two handed grip. What's more, it's capped by a heavy steel pommel that helps counter balance its long blade while serving as a brutal and effective bludgeoning weapon as well.
