MERCENARY SWORD SH2368 by Paul Chen/ CAS Hanwei The Mercenary Sword created by Paul Chen /CAS Hanwei is an imposing sword in the 15th century style. It features a dual-edge sharpened high carbon steel blade that measures over 35 inches in length. A blade this size would require a fuller- or two- or in this case three! Add a large sent stopper pommel and the result is a mighty sword that feels so controllably light in the hand you will be tempted to wield it with only one!
This hilt is beautifully designed boasting an attractive and functional S-curve guard adding protection to the hands while a large scent stopper pommel adds an overall balance, hand orientation, beauty, and a blunt weapon for the chin of that guy who keeps trying to sneak up on you. Both pommel and guard are constructed of steel and given a nice brush polish finish. The long tapered grip is hardwood covered in black leather and flanked by two solid steel spacers.

Paul Chen Swords Paul Chen swords are crafted in much the same way as swords were made centuries ago, except now the blades are forged from high-carbon spring steel. The blade finish is far from being mirror polished; again more closely replicating what the medieval swordsmith was able to achieve. Except as noted the grips are leather covered hardwood. Fittings are either steel or solid brass. These swords will appeal to the re-enactor who wants a sword with the same appearance as the originals.
