BROOKHART TEUTONIC WAR SWORD IP-601 Legacy Arms
These deeply devoted Monks were known as fierce fighters when pitted against the "Infidels" of the region. The Templars fought below a pure white banner to represent their purity and chastity. The blade is designed for the cutting style of fighting used during this period.
This functional Generation 2/Legacy Arms Teutonic War Sword is designed by Bruce Brookhart. It features a hand forged, 36 inch 5160 high carbon steel blade that has been hand tempered. The dual-edge steel blade comes pre-sharpened and is constructed with a strong full length tang that is peened onto a beautiful Black Teutonic Cross emblazed octagonal pommel; adding beauty, strength, and durability to this remarkable sword. The blade is equipped with a wide fuller that runs two thirds its length, providing quickness and balance while maintaining the necessary stiffness for a devastating cutting stroke. The cross guard and pommel are of solid steel and accommodates a hardwood handle wrapped in tight black leather.
The Legacy Arms Teutonic War Sword IP-601 includes a wood-core scabbard covered in Black leather with a steel locket and chape. A matching Brookhart Teutonic War Dagger (IP-610) is also available and sold separately. Read more on Functional Series Swords

The Teutonic Order Originally formed in the 12th Century Crusader Kingdoms, the Teutonic Knights were created when management of a German Pilgrim Hospital in Jerusalem fell to the Knights Hospitaller. Unfortunately too few of the Hospitaller Order could speak German. To better serve the pilgrims, the Pope commanded that those administering the hospital should be Germans themselves - from this decree the Germanic order of Catholic warrior monks, the Teutonic Knights would form.
