T FACE BARBUTE HELMET 14G - LARGE AB0336by GDFB The T-face barbute was developed in Italy during the 15th century. These helmets were popular throughout Europe and offered an alternative to the more restrictive sallet. The extended sides protected the neck and jaw, dispensing with the need for a separate bevor or gorget. Our medieval GDFB T-faced barbute replicates the helmet of the ‘Avant’ armour housed at the Kelvingrove Museum, Glasgow and is crafted in 14 gauge steel with an adjustable leather liner and chinstrap. This helm will fit forehead circumference measuring up to 26 inches. Although designed for action in LARP or Medieval battles, this beautiful helm is just as powerful on display while seeking the favor of fair maidens within the comforts of your castle.
• Forehead Circumference: up to 26"
• Material: 14 Gauge Steel Leather Lined
• Weight: approx 7.7 lbs
Please Note: Minor cosmetic imperfections are a natural characteristic of genuine hand made armour.
