The Marto 273 Dragon Tanto is hand crafted by Marto of Toledo Spain. This richly decorative Tanto features coiling dragon serpents sculpted in hand painted simulated ivory to create a stunningly beautiful hilt with gold plated Tsuba and Saya fittings. The Habaki is gold plated to match and bears the Marto Logo deeply stamped on each side. The blade tang also bears the Marto Logo Stamp of authenticity. The coiled serpent motif finds its way through out the deeply lacquered saya and glistens with gold plated fittings and traditional woven Sageo in gold and green threaded braid. Marto swords feature the world famous forged and fully tempered stainless Toledo steel blades that have been polished and detailed. The Tanto blade is sharp and has been given an impressive simulated yet realistic Hamon line that runs the length of each blade. This Tanto blade will not rust and requires little maintenance. See Model 253 for the Katana and Model 263 for the Wakizashi details to complete an exquisite Dragon set.
Marto has been a leader in quality for nearly 50 years, and as many collectors know, collectible sets such as this Marto Dragon Samurai Sword Set regarded as some of the finest decorative Japanese swords available on the market today.
