ANTIQUED TORINO RAPIER (SH2204N) by CAS Hanwei
This "antiqued" version of the Torino Rapier (SH2204) features a hilt finish, developed by Hanwei, that allows a museum-quality patina to be applied to stainless steel while the non-corroding properties of the steel are retained. This finish is very attractive and gives an authentic appearance to the piece. Based on models of 17th century swept-hilt rapiers of Italian ancestry, our Torino Rapier exhibits the classic straight cross guard styling popular in this part of Europe. The rapier features classical lines, with a high-carbon steel flex-tempered blade, an antiqued steel hilt with "blade catcher" quillons and a twisted-wire grip. The hilt is of the same size as the original, providing an authentic “feel” in the user’s hand and weight and balance also match originals. The blade is interchangeable with our “Practical” blade (OH2255) which is designed for safety in rapier sparring. The matching Main Gauche (SH2207N) may also be equipped with a sparring blade.
The Antiqued Torino Rapier features a blade of high quality, strength, and
temper, and is fully functional. See model SH2207N Antiqued Torino Main Gauche for the perfect complement to this version of this sword.
