SCOTTISH THISTLE CAP BADGE
Identification at any distance of differing clans was due largely to the wearing of the various clan plant-badges. It can be noticed, a badge is considerable feature, easily visible in the bonnet so as to allow other clan members to know who their clan, septs and friends were in a battle. This plant-badge is designed to be worn on the bonnet or balmoral, but many find it a suitable accessory for a sporran, fly or shawl. The Thistle Badge measures approximately 1 3/4 inches up and down and is made of brass that has been given a lusturious chrome plated finish that gleams brightly against the dark cockade of a Glengarry or Balmoral Cap. What else can be said but, "BLING!"... |
