DECORATIVE WALLACE CLAYMORE (L901) Made in China

This Scottish collectable is made with a modern, maintenance-free, stainless steel blade that is much easier to draw from a back scabbard than its 52" big brother! Replicating expensive models, this extremely affordable Scottish Claymore Sword has the look and feel of a premium quality Marto at a fraction of the cost. Its safe dual false-edged blade is of maintenance free polished stainless steel and is topped with a spherical pommel. This beautiful yet affordable Claymore comes complete with a lustrous dark wood wall plaque for easy mounting and awesome display!

Immortalized by Mel Gibson’s portrayal of William Wallace, the Claymore sword has become one of the distinct, martial symbols of Scotland and its conflicts with England. Though the definitive forward-sloping quatrefoil crossguard Claymores are a late Medieval / Renaissance type of sword, there were other large two-handed swords used in an earlier Medieval Scotland. These could date to the history spanning the Wars for Scottish Independence, of which William Wallace famously features within. Those swords may have been similar to this Early Claymore. |
