MASONIC CEREMONIAL DAGGER with sheath (M775.1MIN)
The Masons are one of the oldest known societies and have an intriguing history with strong ties to the Templar Knights. This Dagger carries some of the ancient symbols and tradition that mark the society of its name. This quality cast metal heavy dagger with shealth is 21-3/8" overall and made of 440 stainless steel and has a nice edge on it. The Square and Compass stands prominent against the cross guard of the dagger, interwoven into a tapestry of Masonic symbols. The artwork and symbols found along the cross guard and pommel are in relief of sim silver and gold. At the ends of each cross guard is a moon and a sun. The handle of the sword is golden with red velvetine fabric and detailed fittings. The pommel of the sword is the five sided star interwoven with a G in silver and gold set against a red background. Included with the dagger is a matching leather sheath with gold tone fittings.

SYMBOLS OF THE MASON
The Square symbolizes things of the earth, and it also symbolizes honor, integrity, truthfulness, and the other ways we should relate to this world and the people in it. The Compasses symbolize things of the spirit, and the importance of a good and well-developed spiritual life, and also the importance of self control - of keeping ourselves within bounds. The G stands for Geometry, the science which the ancients believed most revealed the glory of God and His works in the heavens, and it also stands for God, Who must be at the center of all our thoughts and of all our efforts.

Throughout history, as an instrument of justice, truth, equality and firmness, swords have been used at every great event and have become imbued with great symbolism. For this reason, freemasons use swords in all their ceremonies. This beautiful MASONIC CEREMONIAL DAGGER compiles many of the symbols used in the craft: the compass and square set, the plumb line and the hammer, the sacred book and the eye of the Supreme Being, and the five-pointed star inscribed in the capital "G" of the Great Architect. "WHAT YOU MAKE MAKES YOU"
