This Gothic Axe would look right at home in the hands of an armored knight in Gothic harness with its sinuously angular and threatening profile. This axe has enough heft to savage opponents and its crow-beak spike leaves even the well-armored warrior vulnerable to this weapon. Its this power that kept the axe in its various forms a battlefield weapon throughout the medieval period. The blunt axe head of high carbon steel is mounted onto a sturdy wooden shaft and riveted for strength. This Gothic Axe provides an ideal accessory for the costumer, role player or re-enactor. At 32 1/2" overall (10" blade length) the axe is an easy hand or belt carry. The Gothic Axe measures 31 1/2" overall, wih a 10 1/4" carbon steel axe head and 10" cutting edge.
