ZATOICHI STICK SWORD Red Saya (SH2298) CAS HANWEI
This sword is one of four exciting versions of the stick sword of Zatoichi, the legendary blind Samurai. The ever-popular black SH1014, with its fully tempered carbon steel blade is joined by the SH2298 (shown), featuring the same blade but with the red lacquered scabbard seen in many of Zatoichi’s screen adventures. The SH2267 features a fully-forged straight Katana blade, housed in a natural hardwood scabbard and handle combination, while the superbly folded blade of the SH2114 is housed in exquisite rosewood.
The SH2298 shown above features a
22 inch sharpened carbon steel blade and is housed in a deep red lacquered Saya with black accented fittings and matching handle. This Zatoichi Sword Stick measures 32 1/2 inches overall and finds its point of balance 5 1/2 inches from the guard. Includes a cotton sword bag.

The Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi
Zatoichi is a 19th century blind nomad who makes his living as a gambler and masseur. However, behind this humble facade, he is a master swordsman gifted with a lightning-fast draw and breathtaking precision. While wandering, Zatoichi discovers a remote mountain village at the mercy of Ginzo, a ruthless gang-leader. Ginzo disposes of anyone who gets in his way, especially after hiring the mighty samurai ronin, Hattori, as a bodyguard. After a raucous night of gambling in town, Zatoichi encounters a pair of geishas--as dangerous as they are beautiful--who've come to avenge their parents' murder. As the paths of these and other colorful characters intertwine, Ginzo's henchmen are soon after Zatoichi. With his legendary cane sword at his side, the stage is set for a riveting showdown. REF |
