BLUNDERBUSS SHORT RIFLE 22-1094LRD by DENIX
This short-barreled, large bore flintlock gun was known as a "blunderbuss" from the old Dutch words doner (thunder) and bus (gun). A blunderbuss is a muzzle-loading firearm with a flared, trumpet-like barrel and is the predecessor to the shotgun. The flare made funneling of gunpowder easier whilst riding on horseback or stagecoach, or close quarter combat where it was intended to be used. In the Red Dead game, the gun uses pieces of zombies (ribs, eyes, ears, and tongues), collected from slain undead, in place of traditional ammunition. We have modified our Denix model with a torn cloth barrel support to match Marston's even closer. This little Zombie Blaster measures 28 inches in length and features a brass barrel, wood stock with gray flint firing mechanism just like Marston's.

Like Marston's, this Blunderbuss replica is based upon the flintlock muzzle-loading short rifle designed for close-quarters combat in the 18th and 19th centuries. In our opinion, the size, style, barrel and firing mechanism colors of this Blunderbuss makes its likeness a real-life "Dead On" ringer to Marston's. Add a plaque with some skull and bones hangers, or a large pistol stand with a personalized quote on a brass plate and you'll have created a prized tribute to your favorite open-world Zombie Mashin' hero! |
