GEORGE WASHINGTON FLINTLOCK BOXED SET 27-125
This historic set includes a reproduction of General Washington's classic flintlock pistol, a colorized reproduction print of Washington's "Crossing the Delaware" and a brass ID plaque with his signature. The collection is nestled in a black foam mould with velveteen finish inside a handmade presentation box. George Washington's favorite pistol was made in London in 1748 by Hawkins, one of the best known gun makers of the period, and it still survives as a national treasure.

Elegant in its design, the pistol combines simple, clean lines with tasteful silver decoration. This non-firing replica has all of the features of the original, including the George Washington nameplate on the grip. The pistol features a full length wood stock with antique brass finish barrel, antiqued black lock plate and hammer assembly, complemented with simulated silver butt plate, trigger guard and beautifully ornate and detailed stock furniture. Rotate the frizzen, cock the hammer, and pull the trigger – the hammer falls just as it did for George Washington more than 250 years ago. |
