BLACK WAKIZASHI (432) by MARTO of Spain
The Marto Black Wakizashi is mounted in black and the tsuka-ito is in Japanese cotton over ray skin. The tsuba is formed by a finely rendered dragon, detailed in bronze, with true back-and-front detail. The fittings are superbly antiqued adding to the aesthetics of the piece. The blade is forged in Toledo Spain and is of 440 steel and features a Bo-Hi grove. The Saya is in Black lacquer and houses a Kogatana (small knife) with antiqued silver finish. The Black Wakizashi measures 30 inches overall. See model 412 for the companion Katana.
