The Marto 171 Ceremonia Samurai Tanto is hand crafted by Marto of Toledo Spain. The Tanto Ceremonia Samurai Dagger is a high quality replica reproduction of the original held in the Marto private collection. Scabbard and grip are made in resin (false ivory), darkened to obtain an ancient effect and engraved with battle scenes. In the scabbard is inserted also a little knife (kozuka), also having an engraved handle. The slightly curved, one-edged blade is tempered 440 steel. The Tanto measures 14 inches overall.
Marto has been a leader in quality for nearly 50 years, and as many collectors know, the attention to the exquisite detailing as exemplified in this museum quality replica Ceremonia Tanto has established Marto as skilled artisans of the finest decorative Japanese swords available in the world today.
